Yesterday afternoon, I had the pleasure of attending the English National Opera’s (ENO) production of The Pirates of Penzance at the London Coliseum. This operetta, crafted by the duo Gilbert and Sullivan, is known for its humor and catchy tunes. The ENO’s rendition, originally directed by Mike Leigh and now revived by Sarah Tipple, stays true to its roots while offering a vibrant performance.
