Nope. You haven’t. Sit back down.

Every episode peels back another layer. Secrets inside secrets. Lies inside lies. Characters you trust… until you absolutely don’t.

And I love that feeling. I live for that feeling in a thriller.

What I really liked in this one is the emotional core. Yes, it’s twisty. Yes, it’s dramatic. But the father’s desperation feels real. The panic. The guilt. The not knowing if you’ve failed your child somehow.

It adds weight to all the drama.

And once again, there’s that classic Harlan Coben-style ensemble cast where everyone is connected in ways you don’t see coming.

Why I’m Liking These More and More

I’ll be honest — the more of these Netflix adaptations I watch, the more I appreciate the formula.

At first it feels almost chaotic. But then you start to see the rhythm:

• Episode 1: Calm-ish setup

• Episode 2–4: Something is not right

• Episode 5–6: Everything is definitely not right

• Final episodes: Absolute madness

And somehow, it works.

Each one pulls me in a bit faster than the last. I’m not even pretending I’ll “just watch one episode” anymore. That’s a lie I tell myself for comfort.

Is it perfect? Not always. Sometimes you have to suspend disbelief slightly. Sometimes the coincidences are very convenient.

But is it gripping? Yes.

Is it addictive? Also yes.

Did I enjoy every second of trying (and failing) to solve it before the reveal? Absolutely.
