There are some books you enjoy… and then there are books that completely take hold of you, leave you emotionally wrecked, and make you stare at the wall after finishing the final page.

For me, Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins was exactly that.

I have officially finished listening to Mockingjay and honestly? My emotions are all over the place.

This audiobook had me switching sides every five minutes. I went from loving Peeta to hating Peeta to wanting to hug Peeta. Then Gale would suddenly say something smart and I’d be like “okay maybe I do like Gale,” and then two chapters later I wanted him to stop talking immediately. I genuinely don’t even know what to think anymore.

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins is one of those sequels that quietly upgrades everything without trying too hard. It doesn’t scream “look how intense I am”—it just is.

If I had to describe The Hunger Games in one sentence, I’d say: this book grabs you almost immediately and then refuses to let go. It is one of those stories where even if you already know the basic idea, actually reading it still hits harder than expected.
