There is something quite lovely about reaching the fourth book in a series and realising that you are properly invested now.

You know the family. You know the story behind Pa Salt. You know there are seven sisters, seven mysterious clues and seven stories waiting to be uncovered. And, after reading The Seven Sisters, The Storm Sister and The Shadow Sister, I was more than ready to find out what was waiting for us in The Pearl Sister.

There is something about the Seven Sisters series that makes it very easy to become invested in the lives of these women.

Each book opens another door, introduces another sister and takes you somewhere completely different, while slowly adding more pieces to the much bigger story.

Then, somewhere along the way, you realise you have become emotionally involved with people who don’t actually exist, you’re thinking about them when you’re not reading, and you’ve reached the point where you are silently willing things to work out for them.

The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley — The Start of a Series I Already Know I Need to Continue

Some books completely pull you into their world, and The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley was one of those books for me. 📚✨

I’ve seen this series talked about so much, so I was really excited to finally pick up the first book and see what it was all about. And honestly, I can now see exactly why it has become such a loved series.

✨ Crescent City… we need to talk. ✨

I’ve officially finished House of Flame and Shadow, and I have A LOT of feelings. 🌙📚

After everything that happened in the first two books, I was so invested in these characters and desperate to see how their stories would come together. There were twists, emotional moments, surprises and plenty of moments where I just had to sit there and process what I’d read. 😭
