It all started at 7.30 in the morning we were picked up by a cab that dropped us to Euston station – we were in the cab for 2 hours because we were in rush hour traffic. We got to the station later than expected and we missed our 9.23 train!
We got on the Virgin train to Birmingham, we were on the train for an hour and a half then we reach Birmingham New Street Station.
We made it to Birmingham now all we had to do was find where the event was taking place! After reading the place was only a short walk away we set off.
Our short walk – well my short wheel! We’d made it to the event.

We went to the desk and when we arrived took our name badges then we were rushed off to the stage to get mixed up, that’s when I think it sunk in; Oh my gosh this is massive! At this point, Richard and I were working out our escape routes lol!
This is when I had to tell myself in my head ‘come on we haven’t come all this way for me to back out now’.
That was when we were told we were up to talk first – ok so let’s bring it on!
When it started and they introduced us I couldn’t help thinking ‘wow there’s a lot of people.’

After the talk, it was…
number 1. A relief that that part of the day was over.
Number 2. That was a massive achievement and something that I should be really proud of.
Bring on Brussels!
