Hi and welcome back

In today’s video, I’m going to be talking about interviews and what I’ve learnt along the way.
Tips
1 make the interviewee feel comfortable
Example 1: offer them a drink
Example 2: make it clear that they can pause at any point for a break.
Example 3: you can tell us whatever you feel comfortable with.

2 use open questions
An example of an open question would be can you tell us about yourself, this is classed as an open question because the interviewee can elaborate.
An example of a closed question is what’s your favourite colour? A closed question is a Question where interviewee could give a one-word answer.
So you always want to aim to ask open questions.
When writing questions for interview always be prepared to ask follow-up questions if the need arises
If you have a shy interviewee then keep reassuring them. If they can’t give you an answer then you come back to the question at the end of the technique I have used before if you know your interviewee feels more comfortable doing something quite talking example playing the piano you could ask them to play a piece of music that represents how they feel or represents the answer they are trying to give.
Do not interrupt
At the end of the interview
ask if there is anything else they would like to tell us?
Make sure the interviewee knows what will be happening to their interview and where it will be shared
Be sure that they know that they can request for any part to be added or taken away as long as it’s by a certain date
Offer them a copy of the interview.
Thank you very much
