For those who don’t know much about me, I have cerebral palsy so I went to a school for people with disabilities.I have listened to the radio at home from a really young age and when I went to school and did music lessons and singing assembly once a week.

I used instruments such as soundbites and the sound beam: an instrument where you can use different parts of the body to make music. I was taught how to play the keyboard by having all the different keys different colours.

Eventually I was part of performances in different London venues, such as the Barbican.

When I left school I participated in a number of different music and dance workshops ran by Trinity.

Then, when I was 19, I started at an organisation called Heart n Soul where I learnt more about making music digitally using iPads and lots of different types of technology through a project called SoundLab. I was even part of a team that facilitated a digital music making session at the well-known Ableton Loop conference in Berlin.

SoundLab is growing more and more. Heart n Soul often hold events called Play Spaces where people with and without disabilities can make digital music and help the makers of the technology to understand how to make it accessible.You can find out more about SoundLab on the website here: https://www.heartnsoulsoundlab.com/Thanks for reading!
