Lilly’s Disability Cons

Don’t get me wrong in life you never ask to be born with a disability.

In my opinion the cons of disability are you have to find different ways to do everyday tasks, others would take for granted.

Take walking as an example I can do it however I walk with K-Walker or Cruts and that’s only indoors I use a wheelchair when out and about.

When I do household things jobs it takes me longer than most people, but everything gets done eventually. My body aches all the time, there are many more cons to having a disability but to be honest I don’t really like talking about the cons and what I can’t do.

Lilly’s Pros

So now I’ll talk about the pros of disability.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but you get to learn quite quickly how to gain things, for example the good things are in most places you can get in 2 for 1 theatres, cinemas museums and most of the different tourist attraction in London.

I can get on all TFL transport for free Or reduced rates. You kind of have to know what your doing.

Sam’s Cons

So i suffer from Hereditary Motor Sensory Neuropathy whivh is a disability which weakens my nerve which are attached to my muslces, so I technically have gone from doing every thing myself to having to fed, helped getting dressed, personal care sometimes and simple things like putting socks and shoes on etc

Life is difficult, if i go places i am basically wheelchair bound, i need assistance getting in certain places and not all people are not always helpful so you get your confidence and that sucks.

Pros

Now its not all doom and gloom you can do somethings that benefits for me like if i go Cinema I can get a career in for free, most London attractions for instance the London Eye I pay for myself and the person i go with gets to enjoy the attraction for free and you can get fast tracked so theirs no waiting in line.

Having a disability does have its perks but of course as I’ve said their are the downs but I would never wish this upon anyone else its my disability and at the end of the day it defines who I am.
