What does the world’s future have in store? I guess nobody knows, but I think we can safely say that this lockdown has made everyone re-evaluate what’s normal, what’s real life and how we go forward.
I’m sure I’m not the only person to feel it, but this whole lockdown through Covid-19 has been a very strange time. Especially for those poor bats!
However, it is what it is, so there’s no point in us being down in the dumps about it.
I’m not saying I’m not going to miss the old normal, however I think it’s time we all embraced it as we all gradually get let out of lockdown, with a new implemented system and social distancing. Have you seen the queue outside Primark? Just me then!
I’m also not saying that I know what the new normal is actually going to be, because nobody does! We all just have to play the waiting game and see what happens.
I bet you are all thinking that it’s easier said than done Lilly.
Let’s think about it. You may well have been furloughed and things with your normal job may never go back to normal. You’re worried where the next bit of money will be coming from and times are really tough.
You could get a new job or take up different opportunities. This may be a good time to ride with new challenges. You could ignore all of this and just say this is your chance to make a fresh start. For some people these may not be options, but online courses are always available, free and ready to expand the multiverse that is your brain!
I think when we all come out of lockdown, we should all see it as a brand new start and do what we didn’t
do before but what we want to do now. Either way we need to use this time to look out for our fellow human-beings, friends, family members and help each other.
This is a time for being kind, learning new skills and working together to make sure that when we fully come out of lockdown, that we still have something to come out for!
