What are your future travel plans?

Right. So let’s talk travel plans. The big ones. The little ones. The ones I daydream about while doing the dishes and suddenly forget whether I’ve rinsed the plates or shampooed the dog. (We don’t have to talk about that incident again.)

First of all, let me make this perfectly clear: I don’t just travel. Oh no. I experience, I document, I Google Translate the heck out of things, and I always pack an emergency snack. Even if I’m just popping to the corner shop. (That’s a journey too, don’t judge.)

Destination Wishlist (Also known as: My Pinterest Board of Dreams)

1. Japan

Cherry blossoms. Bento boxes. Toilets that talk to you. Honestly, what more could a girl want? I’ve been mentally preparing for years—mostly by watching anime and trying to use chopsticks without flinging food across the room. Progress is… slow.

2. Greece

I want to live out my full Mamma Mia fantasy, minus the awkward parental mystery. Give me whitewashed buildings, sparkling turquoise waters, and enough feta cheese to mildly concern a doctor.

3. Iceland

Yes, it’s cold. Yes, I’m pale and will likely blend in with the snow. But I am determined to see the Northern Lights and float in the Blue Lagoon while looking like a soggy yet serene marshmallow.

4. Italy (again, forever, always)

You know those places that just feel like a warm hug and a carb-induced nap? That’s Italy. I will go back. I will eat my body weight in gelato. And I will 100% take a dramatic photo on a Vespa even though I don’t know how to ride one. It’s about aesthetic, okay?

5. Somewhere random I’ve never heard of until Ryanair emails me a £9 flight offer

Let’s be honest: sometimes spontaneity wins. If the price is right and the snack situation is good, I’ll be on that plane faster than you can say “hand luggage only.”

Things I Think I’ll Do on These Trips:

Write in a cute café and pretend I’m the main character Not check work emails (lol. lol. lol.) Actually use the travel journal I bought in 2017 Befriend at least one local grandma and let her feed me Definitely get sunburnt despite my “high protection” SPF

Real Talk:

Travel, to me, isn’t just about ticking boxes or collecting airport fridge magnets (although I do that too, obviously). It’s about stories. Messy, magical, sometimes mildly terrifying stories that make you feel alive. The kind of stories you tell five years later and everyone goes, “Wait… that happened!?”

So yes, my future travel plans involve planes, yes. But they also involve laughs, weird street food, wrong turns that become the best memories, and the hope that I’ll always come back home a little bit fuller—in heart, in mind, and probably also in luggage weight.

Now tell me:

🌍 Where’s the one place on your travel wishlist that makes your heart do a little happy dance?

✈️ And are you an over-planner or a “let’s just wing it” type?

Let’s swap dream destinations in the comments—because if we’re not booking flights, we can at least plan them in our heads with dramatic enthusiasm.
