So the Cerebral Palsy was first documented by a English Surgeon called William Little and it was discovered by good old Will in the year 1860 he came across this confusing condition affecting young children which was causing stiffness and muscles spasms in the legs

and sometimes in the arms of the young children, he began to notice simple tasks such as grabbing objects crawling or walking were more of and issue with theses young children, he expected the condition of the children to soon improve but alas it wasn’t to be as the children got older he saw their cerebral palsy did in fact worsen as they grew. Fun fact in the beginning the term wasn’t called Cerebral Palsy it was in fact called Little’s Disease.

So some of you may be wondering what CP does to the body and how they progress through life, well in some forms of CP some people can walk unaided but may have speech problems in other cases they may just have the problem of walking and can only walk short amounts of time, in other cases it can be that they are wheelchair bound but can speak without any speech problems and then theirs the form of CP where they have both speech problems and are wheelchair bound and need almost everything done for them.

People with Cerebral Palsy call themselves CP Warriors and yes I’m one of them and I’m proud of it,

Yes like everyone I’ll admit I get my down days, Yes some points in my life I have asked why me and every other question you can imagine.

But then we have always had amazing family who’s supported me from day one, that please take me to believe in myself and made it known to me from a very young age that I can achieve anything I want to do in life and can do everything if you can do,

So now I take that belief and spirit that is a positive message to the world and to everyone with CP to empower everyone through the tough times.
