Black History Month also referred to as African-American History Month.

Black History Month was originated in 1926 in the US when historian Carter G Woodson announced that the second week of February would be known as Black History week as it corresponded with Abraham Lincoln’s birthday and Fredrick’s Douglass which both the Black community celebrated.

Black History Month usually sparks debates as many people either agree or disagree with that one month should or shouldn’t be designated to one race, this can spark outrage and cause protests with people who are branded as racists and dislike the black community.

My thoughts on black history month. Look I understand completely that there’s been a fair few black people who have done amazing things to help shape the world into what it is today and trust me I do look up to some of them,

So we have black history month and that’s all good but I’ll be honest I going to ask one question and I’m prepared for not all of you to like it.

White people have done great things to so why isn’t there a white history month? It’s just a question don’t hate me

In this day in and age I believe that the world should be united as one and celebrate everything as so.

Why do we have to have a separate  month to celebrate  different skin tone?

These are genuine questions that are in my mind?

No haters please.

Love you all
