Street_sign_for_Abbey_Road,_in_Westminster,_London,_England_IMG_1461I had a call from Mark to ask if I would do a talk with Justin and Ashley at Abbey Road about the SoundLab project. In true style, I found out about this last minute, it’s quite lucky that I work well under pressure! So only having 24 hour’s notice we planned to do the talk interview-stylee.When it finally sunk in that I was doing a talk at Abbey Road it was slightly overwhelming! But it was still an amazing experience. There was about 50-6o people there. I talked about my experience of SoundLab, I wanted to make beats that weren’t childish. We didn’t know what the SoundLab experience was going to be like. It wasn’t perfect from the start but it turned out to be amazing at the end.

We were asked questions about how the project was run, how it was funded, someone shouted out that we should have more funding! It was a bit weird afterwards as I realised that I’d just spoken at Abbey Road!

I was proud of myself for having done it. I’m always nervous when I talk so it was good to talk with other people on the stage. I would love to have the opportunity to go back to Abbey Road again, so watch this space!
